A Subsistence Certificate is an official document issued by the secretary of state that confirms that your entity is authorized to do business in that state. They are often referred to as a “Certificate of Good Standing” or “Certificate of Status”.

A Subsistence Certificate confirms that your entity has paid taxes and submitted an annual report (if required).
