What Is a Registered Agent in Hawaii?

A registered agent in Hawaii is the designated individual or entity authorized to receive service of process, official legal documents, and correspondence from the Hawaii Dept. of Commerce & Consumer Affairs on behalf of your business. Every LLC and corporation registered in the state must maintain a registered agent with a physical Hawaii address at all times.
